Running Straight
I am far from my goals,
Of saving many souls;
But will not change my course,
For I follow one source.
But I do run to win,
To rid many of sin;
For Christ has won for me,
Insight so I can see.
I am no winner yet,
But no worry or fret;
Though the time will come soon,
To see the bloody moon.
For this I want to do,
Unto God remaining true;
And I will not look back,
On the things that I lack.
But I lengthen my stride,
Continuing to abide;
Running straight to the goal,
For many to extol.
So you should think this way,
And not to go astray;
If your faith is mature,
Not tempted by a lure.
