Not Hopelessly Dead
Please do not be naïve,
About those that have died;
You do not have to grieve,
Like those you saw who cried.
For some they cannot cope,
Causing themselves more strife;
And have given up hope,
About eternal life.
For Christ died and came back,
To life as we believe,
If our faith does not lack,
Salvation we receive.
I say what the Lord taught,
That we will still survive;
To His Kingdom we sought,
As we remain alive.
Christ will come in the cloud,
As the trumpet is heard;
Believers in the crowd,
Float up for their reward.
Believers in their graves,
Will rise up from the dead;
And are no longer slaves,
To darkness and its bed.
