Star Witness
Where are the scholar and the wise,
They appear to be in disguise;
Someone that has a gifted tongue,
Where words of wisdom can be flung.
Did not God turn wisdom of earth,
Into nonsense for its true worth;
For we cannot recognize God,
Enough for to honor and laud.
So God has decided to use,
The faithful who believe and choose;
The Good News that we speak to save,
People from the eternal grave.
This offends some of the others,
But they are not Christian brothers;
Since they have deceived and have lied,
About why Christ was crucified.
I did not come for to baptize,
But show the Gospel through my eyes;
Through the wisdom of the good word,
About the cross that you have heard.
God will kill wisdom of the wise,
Because they are just full of lies;
Rejecting intelligent men,
Eternally laying by then.
