Fervent in Prayer
Continue steadfastly in prayer,
Take it all to the Lord to share;
Watching therein with thanksgiving,
Each day as you go on living.
At the same time also please pray,
For missionaries of today;
That they will go and speak the Word,
Ensuring that it will be heard.
To spread the mystery of Christ,
And just why He was sacrificed;
Showing there is nothing to fear,
Making the big mystery clear.
So this is what we have to do,
Making sure that the Word gets through;
Being wise in the way we act,
And all of the facts are exact.
To the non-Christians that you meet,
Be friendly with them when you greet;
Make the most of the chance you get,
Showing them why they need not fret.
Each thought as it crosses your mind,
Be well thought out and being kind;
So you will know how to respond,
That their purpose goes well beyond.
