I Am What I Am
I am making it known to you,
In this life so you can get through;
And able to make it each day,
As long as you trust and obey.
For I told you of the Good News,
That you will be able to choose;
Which you have already received,
And many others have believed.
It is what your faith has been based,
That helps you through on problems faced;
And will be helping you to cope,
By giving you a lot of hope.
Just like many other people,
Who have been saved by the Gospel;
It gives you power to endure,
Through temptation that try to lure.
If I you to what you were taught,
Then only Jesus would be sought;
And you would never look for things,
Of this earth for pleasure it brings.
For Christ died to take away sin,
And confession will cleanse within;
Since God made me for what I am,
As a rescued wandering lamb.
