Now with the new dawn's sun I can see past the darkness
the only shadows are those still retreating from the light
like so many shadows within me
yearning for a light that will chase away all of the darkness
a light that will shine on down forever more
guiding me far from all the shadows that still haunt my sleep
…haunt my life
but I know as the clock spins the night will once more take me
take me back amongst the shadows
where there are no open fields of golden corn
no green trees swaying to and fro in the summer breeze
and no sound
only the echo of my beating heart
searching for a kindred soul to my madness
a kindred soul that will bring back the light to my darkness
till I am no longer afraid…
