So as boys would we took a bus downtown
Six seven and eight we were young
The guy said, "You kids want to buy a white Mice?"
What kids could resist and he had one brown
My white mice would sit on my palm
We only did it when no one was around
We were back on the bus and happy
I named my mouse little Sappy
Suddenly I heard my friend say,
"Oh--oh, my mouse is on the loose!"
Bus driver found out it was our goose
So we opened the box and let them all go
Silly women they ran and hollered
Before we could get any of them collared
Much before our stop we jumped off laughing
The ladies were screaming and not happy
I must say I do miss the white mice named Sappy
