Must I seek my whole life
to discover who I am?
Is it written I must
always swim upstream?
It seems I've spent my time
wondering where or perhaps when,
the answer will appear to life's great scheme.
Am I blind to the fact
that my eyes are open wide?
Is it written I must
never find my course?
There must be reasons why
I have yet to find my place,
but I do not know the meaning or the source.
Must I look, always search,
must I stumble once again?
Am I lost forever
to this endless breach?
As I feel myself fade,
disappear from my own view,
will I always be there just beyond my reach?
