Musings Of A Clouded Mind

I've Never Been To Paris

I've never been to Paris
and I've never stopped by Rome,
I‘ve never seen their fancy shops
or ventured far from home.

I've never traveled far away
from where my roots run deep,
but I've seen the river's rapids
and the mountain's scenic sweep.

I've never shopped in Tokyo
or lunched in Timbuktu,
but I've seen the rings of Saturn
through a telescope with you.

I've never danced at Carnegie
or sang a new hit song,
but I've seen how much you love me
and I know that I belong…
with you.
