 JANET'S PLANET

Weeping Willow Tree

Photobucket

Weeping Willow tree

you look as sad as

the dark gray

cloudless November sky

it's like a cold damp

deadly feel to the air

your branches hang

lifeless way down low

as the bone chilling wind blows

through you standing

so stiff and still

are you weeping

as you stand alone

amongst the barren trees

some have yet to shed

their final leaves

fierce, roaring, cold winds

icy rain snow storms

you will face

hold fast

brace yourself

winter will not last

the greening of the earth

will burst wide open

springtime will arrive

your branches will swing

as the springtime breeze

blows through your hanging sweeping strands

The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself. – William Blake
