Things to Shun Things to Seek
We have a solid foundation,
Through Jesus having salvation;
And He knows who belongs to Him,
So no need to be feeling grim.
So whoever worships the Lord,
Showing He is loved and adored;
Must then give up from doing wrong,
Or the agony will prolong.
A house may have silver and gold,
Maybe a thief might have been told;
But also things of clay and wood,
Being of value that it could.
Some things of honor and treasure,
Other things are just for pleasure;
Those who stop working with that kind,
Will be honored with a pure mind.
They will be given a pure heart,
As they will then be set apart;
For the Master will do good things,
That a reward of value brings.
So stay away from temptation,
That endangers your salvation;
And pursue faith the love and peace,
For seeing the blessings increase.
