CHRISTMAS WITH A CAPITAL "C"

In grade school I was one of the three kings
Voice was changing my girlfriend was Mary in the wings
The story was all about Jesus birthday
Santa Claus wasn't in the play this day
Now Mom and Dad put up a Christmas tree
This was one day about the Lord not about me
Christmas morning we opened Christmas presents
People gathered all around the desert set up tents
They brought gifts to give to the tiny holy child
To say it was a special day is putting it mild
This was not a day of war it was about peace
The Wise men came on camels following a star from the East
Sure we called it a holiday but it was about Christmas
Angels were above not mentioning I would be remiss
Then one day we had to be politically correct
Some idiot was offended other religions not mentioned I suspect
You can worship any religion it doesn't matter to me
But the 25Th is Jesus birthday Christmas with a Capital "C"
Myself I think setting off bombs is politically incorrect
The ten commandments mean more to me than the world in wreck
