MY CHRISTMAS WISH THIS YEAR

My Christmas wish this year
Would be that our warriors
Would have a peaceful day

That the guns would fall silent
And our enemies do not attack us
And keep our warriors be safe

That they could have a respite
From the evil & deadly combat
To reflect on family & home

And their past Christmas's
That were enjoyed at home
With loving family members

But as history has shown us
There will always be those
Who will do many evil things

And we thank God above us all
That we are a free country
With many brave men & women

That will leave their homes
That put their lives on hold
So as to answer freedom's call

We ask that you keep them safe
And that they will know peace
On the day of our Lord's birth
