Author's Note: Christmas is a great time for people to be reminded of God's faithfulness and His goodness year to year. It allows us to focus on the birth of Jesus Christ and the greatest Gift the Father gave to the world (John 3:16). It also helps and encourages us to share this greatest gifts of all, the gift of salvation, to non-believers.
The world seeks to see physical things, and having trees around us can be one of the ways that we can reach out the Gospel of John 13:1-5 at Christmas and beyond that. We don't worship the trees nor the decorations that are in them - it should be made very clear to those who don't know the reason.
