Never Availed

Do you not realize those who work,
At a church have an extra perk;
Feeling a bit motivated,
Just like they are elevated.

Maybe they get a chance to share,
At the altar a word in prayer;
Or talk with the pastor often,
About the scriptures is certain.

God commands those who spread the Word,
They strengthen themselves to be heard;
With a knowledge of the Good News,
And knowing never to abuse.

I have not written for to brag,
With meaningless words just to nag;
For it would be better to die,
If in my writing I would lie.

If I go to spread the Good News,
With commentary and my views;
That would be just a bit uncouth,
Because it might distort the truth.

I willingly do without reward,
Just for glorifying the Lord;
So by spreading the Word for free.
Gives me peace and tranquility.
