Praising God
My heart is confident and sure,
Because with God I am secure;
The music that I want to sing,
For onto my soul it does cling.
Make music even with my soul,
As the Lord remains in control;
Wake up the harp and the lyre,
For my God who I admire.
Wake me up at the dawning light,
Up from the sea the sun shines bright;
And thanking God for a new day,
With praises to Him as I pray.
Praise Him unto all the nations,
With music and celebrations;
His mercy higher than Heaven,
From the grace that He has given.
Praise that His truth reaches the skies,
And wipes out deceit and the lies;
For showing all of His true worth,
As His glory covers the earth.
God will help against our foe,
Since men are worthless where we go;
Because they do not have the force,
For persevering through the course.
God will trample them with His feet,
Then He will use them as His seat;
Turning morning that started gray,
Into a bright and sunny day.
