Heart Of The Matter

The Snowdrop Softly Sighs

Photobucket

Silent are the snowdrops as they onward, upward grow,
How delicate the petals they adorn,
Appearing in profusion, they come and quickly go,
And tender hope that winter's grip be gone,

A sign of spring, new life and light to come,
Too long and hard the days of icy tears,
An end to bitter cold of winter sun,
Survival of the fittest through the years,

So silent are the snowdrops, their heads demurely bowed,
As if afraid to look unto the skies,
Appearing in profusion, they come and quickly go,
So silently the snowdrop softly sighs.
