Evil Habitations
You do not need to fear,
Strange noises that you hear;
Or terrors of the night,
That would give you a fright.
Like shootings in the day,
Do not fret come what may;
Nor plagues that roam the dark,
Unknown where they embark.
Nor outbreaks come at noon,
Just sing a gospel tune;
For they will not harm you.
If to God you are true.
Even thousands fall dead,
In their sleep on their bed;
Just go look with your eyes,
See evil in disguise.
No matter where you roam,
The good Lord has a home;
Far from filth and disease,
To put your mind at ease.
He has angels assigned,
To guard and rest your mind;
Protecting you always,
Throughout all of your days.
He will satisfy through strife,
Giving you a long life;
Because you know His name,
And willing to proclaim.
