'' Music Is The Language Of Life ''
Music is played throughout the globe,
our lives it will forever enhance,
it can make us laugh it can make us cry,
then inspire us to get up and dance.
We may all speak different dialects,
or dress in a different style,
but put on a tune anywhere in the world,
it's guaranteed to bring on a smile.
Folk music is prevalent in all cultures,
it's stirring and retains a mystique,
local instruments make a sound of their own,
that is rousing and truly unique.
What is the power of rhythm and blues,
that makes us just get up and jive,
we'll tap our toes and swing our hips,
music just makes us feel so alive.
Turn the radio on or your MP3,
listen to Wonderwall or Mack The Knife,
regardless of age you will feel just the same,
' Music Is The Language Of Life '
Then you have Jazz in a class of it's own,
that Dixieland sound can't be beat,
Art Blakely and Louis Armstrong,
Listening to them is a treat.
Country and Western tells a story,
about the ugly the good and the bad,
it takes you into that persons life,
but will it end happy or sad.
The big band sounds are among the best,
this is music which was made to be shared,
hand clapping, dancing a wonderful sound,
it's among the best music ever heard.
Then we move on to the crooners,
they'll soon have you singing along,
Crosby, Sinatra, Fitzgerald and Damone,
they knew how to sing a good song.
We may all crave our different tastes,
but our need for those songs is rife,
all over the world twenty four seven,

Pop music appeared in the fifties,
influenced by all of the above,
the lyrics and music are generally the same,
they still sing about hatred and love.
From Eminem to the Rolling Stones,
we will all find the time to listen,
like it or not music's in our bones,
it's that song not the gold that will glisten.
We all owe these people a vote of thanks,
both the writers and talented musicians,
we'll listen to their music forever more,
they're entrenched in our human traditions.
Music types are too numerous to mention,
but in common they all have one thing,
listening will influence the way you feel,
it can and will make you sing.
That's why it's loved all over the world,
in an instant it can ease all your strife,
which proves what I'm saying is entirely true,
