Carry the Burdens for Another
If someone has done something wrong,
Then you should never be afraid;
Do not let agony prolong,
Without trying to render aid.
When you see them for as you meet,
Help them turn away from that path;
So they can get back on their feet,
And be spared a possible wrath.
Do in a conciliate way,
Restoring their faith and their hope;
But watch out that you do not stray,
With implications as to cope.
Do not be tempted or be snared,
That caused your friend to be dragged in;
Or the problem just might be shared,
By both of you in the same sin.
Carry burdens of another,
So they not carry it alone;
For as your sister or brother,
Together go face the unknown.
For if you follow what Christ taught,
Just be willing to sacrifice;
Because your importance is not,
More than any bunch of church mice.
So you have made yourself a fool,
If thought better than your neighbor;
And by not following the rule,
God ensures no rest in your labor.
