Living as His People
I encourage you in His name,
To live no longer as your kin;
Rather to live as I proclaim,
For getting away from the sin.
Your mind becomes a worthless thing,
Not knowing you are in the dark;
No matter what treasure you cling,
Or where you may try to embark.
You will be shut out of the life,
That the Lord would fully approve;
Let you alone in the midst of strife,
That the Lord would never remove.
Stubbornness would stop any shift,
And ignorance for not knowing;
A means for getting an up lift,
Within your spiritual growing.
You will no longer have the shame,
As you will become immoral;
Without living under His name.
And cause you to want to quarrel.
Get rid of the anger and wrath,
All bitterness and rage within;
Taking you from the righteous path,
And into a world full of sin.
So to each other please be kind,
Sympathetic as you forgive;
And will able to ease your mind,
So eternally you may live.
