Why do we mourn when a loved one dies,
why them is the question we all ask,
for those left behind we hear their cries,
to move on is their unenviable task.
Make a start by showing your love,
for the person who has passed away,
have faith they have went to Heaven above,
your sorrow this will help to allay.
You will be told by family and friends,
in time your heartbreak will heal,
in truth it never really ends,
though it does ease the emotions you feel.
Death is not just the end of life,
it is also a new beginning,
use this to help you get rid of your strife,
good thoughts will soon have you grinning
You will never forget the one who moves on,
in your head and heart they'll remain,
with trust you'll know they're not really gone,
you must believe you will meet up again.
The one you loved would be the first to say,
you must never let life get you down,
by learning to fight another day
you'll get rid of that terrible frown.
Whenever you feel you have had enough,
please don't ever feel ashamed,
life is hard it can also be tough,
but your raw emotion can be tamed.
Never feel guilt because you're alive,
as time passes I know you will find,
your purpose in life for that you must strive,
that's the reason you've been left behind.
The history of the one who has now passed,
will give you something to treasure,
think of the good times you both amassed,
it will give you such beautiful pleasure.
