Poetic-Verses

'' That Bastard Is Kenny MacAskill ''

The 21st of December Eighty Eight,
on board Clipper Maid Of The Seas,
259 innocents met such a cruel fate,
while the murderer our country frees.

Eleven more victims died on the ground,
All due to this heinous act,
For all of these deaths no excuse can be found,
To free their murderer, that is a fact.

The people of  Scotland feel such hurt,
By a man who has not got a clue,
He is treating those victims like pieces of dirt
We're ashamed to admit it but it's true.

As Libya celebrated Megrahis return,
Gadaffi waved our Scottish flag,
We'd much rather see our Saltire burn,
Than allow a terrorist to brag.

This man was found guilty yet he let him go,
That's the judgement MacAskill has made,
It's now up to him to let the world know,
His freedom wasn't based on trade.

If Megrahi was as innocent as he claimed,
He would have followed due process of law,
But his victims memories this Bastard defamed,
When his appeal he agreed to withdraw.

They made out this murderer was dying,
In around three months he'd be dead,
He's still going, which proves they were lying,
Where's the thought for the victims who bled.

It's not the ordinary Scot in the street,
who gives out these moral renditions,
it's the faceless Bastards you rarely meet
our don't give a damn politicians.

They'd have you believe they are tough on crime,
While favours from the terrorists they buy,
This murderer being freed from doing his time
Only proves what they preach is a lie.

To all of his victims who died that day
Unlike Megrahi who gave them no choice,
They will live to fight another day,
We will ensure they still have a voice.

These brutal murders have been cast aside,
In favour of the black stuff called oil,
Politicians may run but they cannot hide,
Their actions would make a snake coil.

The victims will be turning in their graves,
Our politicians are so out of touch,
The very fact their decision depraves,
Shows they don't really care that much.

Did he think of the innocents on flight 103,
Who were massacred on that fateful day,
They had no say in setting him free,
It's MacAskill who has caused this affray.

Their relatives are entitled to answers,
Terrorists show no-one compassion,
Our politicians are nothing but chancers,
Who will follow what they think is the fashion.

These people must be held to account,
For what is an outrageous decision,
They must be aware our anger will mount,
By treating us with thoughtless derision.

The Scottish people are a very proud race,
This judgement we would never have taken,
Our justice secretary now stands in the dock,
For our honour he has forsaken.

So vent your anger on who is to blame,
This man is a rogue and a rascal,
Tell him your thoughts and make him feel shame,
