Trials to Come
Do not be surprised by trouble,
Fiery trials that double;
As the Day of Judgment draws near,
For testing you and of your fear.
Do not feel that something is strange,
That is causing your life to change;
Just be happy able to share,
Sufferings of Christ in your prayer.
Then no longer will you be sad,
Rather tidings of being glad;
As He comes in glory again,
And take away all of your pain.
If reproached by the name of Christ,
His Spirit will make you enticed;
Because you will surely be blest,
As His glory will let you rest.
If you suffer be not ashamed,
Of the Good News you have proclaimed;
Rather glorify in His name,
As you continue to proclaim.
The time has come to take to heart,
For the Day of Judgment to start;
Starting with the kinfolk of God,
How pure as they honor and laud.
If it starts with us will we mend,
The sinful stains before the end;
For those who refuse to obey,
Will surely perish whence they stray.
