Zenith
It is human nature
neighboring our lifeline
to be in control of all
Perhaps it's programmed
inside our strand
of human fabric
The desire and drive
to be acquainted
with others
such as ourselves
We ache deeply within
our illuminating souls
wanting that unreachable
feeling and missing piece
The peak and it's elevation
where we starve for oxygen
panting into recovery
There is no word
that I can grasp
to describe the mystery
forward of our journeys
I speak of tomorrow
as if because it moves
just a short distance ahead
without it being touched
My body has had tantrums
my organs have failed
my brain has seized
in part of my hunt
To regain the quest
for an elusive layer
without a just name
For this unseen glimmer
that leaves in it's path
an electric glitter
trailing prismatic fibers
My world trembles
into chaos
when I come close
The earth moves
beneath my feet
when it has eluded me
My erect human
shudders with excitement
that one glorious morning
I shall take tight hold
Of this organic moment
when I harness and ride
that fleeting Zenith
