Living as People of God
I am telling you in His name,
In doing so as I proclaim;
Although you live here at this place,
Remember you were saved by grace.
And because you know the Gospel,
Do not live like other people;
They are set on worthless things,
That only earthly pleasure brings.
They do not know where they embark,
Because they reside in the dark;
Excluded from the way of God,
For not showing honor and laud.
No longer having sense of shame,
Immoral lives within their game;
Perversion with hardening hearts,
Lusting treasures as it imparts.
They are so corrupted within,
That they are stinking of sin;
The lusting taste what they savor,
A constant desire for more.
But remember what Christ has taught,
It is His Kingdom to be sought;
And never let it be ignored,
His words for the way of the Lord.
You were taught a new attitude,
In being kind and never rude;
Remaining righteous and holy,
As you honor one God only.
