Chosen
You are truly chosen people,
As according to the Gospel;
And part of the royal priesthood,
A holy nation time withstood.
A people who belong to God,
Whence you should honor and laud;
As you remain within His sight,
For you are a part of the light.
You were chosen to relieve doubt,
While you go around about;
The superb qualities of God,
Ensuring that He is no fraud.
Called you from darkness into light,
For as a blessing in His sight;
Being part of the chosen ones,
As one of His daughters or sons.
There was a time that you were not,
And there were other things you sought;
God did not show mercy and grace,
Not helping with problems you face.
We are foreigners in a land,
Where people will not give a hand;
And are not sisters and brothers,
Since having no love for others.
So keep away from desires,
That anyone else acquires;
As it could corrupt your nature,
And spiritually immature.
