Truly Glorious
His glory we do not deserve,
Since it is Him we are to serve;
And to give glory in His name,
As we worship and go proclaim.
For His mercy and faithfulness,
God always give us blessedness;
We know that He will not forsake,
And all because of His namesake.
What have those other gods given?
Like our God has in Heaven;
Their idols are of silver and gold,
That the hands of man had to mold.
They do have mouths but cannot speak,
The truth that followers would seek;
They have eyes but they cannot see,
They have ears but hear not a plea.
So why should other people say,
That their god always lets them stray;
Allowing them do as they want,
No matter where they gallivant.
For they have feet but cannot walk,
They have a mouth but cannot talk;
And odors they can never tell,
Since their noses cannot smell.
But our God is more advance,
He forgives for a second chance;
His loving kindness we must trust,
For it protects us from the lust.
