Praises and Professions of Obedience
How can a young person keep pure,
Always temptation by the lure;
They can do it from what they heard,
And by adhering to the Word.
But ensure they know what it stands,
Not wander from what God commands;
Continue to sincerely search,
Serving the Lord while in church.
For right from the literal start,
Treasure His promise in their heart;
So you cannot sin against God,
Continue to honor and laud.
Thanks be to God to teach His Laws,
And He keeps healing their flaws;
Through lips at the tip of their tongue,
May His Words be repeatedly flung.
Let them find joy within the way,
Of God without going astray;
They can find riches and treasures,
That will bring them godly pleasures.
This old world is just like a maze,
So let them study in His ways;
Reflecting on guiding precepts,
So this world will seem less complex.
No more will they be feeling sad,
Because His Laws will make them glad;
As long as they never forget,
What Christ did in paying their debt.
