Wisdom in the HeartThose who stray are planning evil, And devising with the devil; The means for them to misconceive, To others trying to deceive. Even a fool can recognize, A devil that is in disguise; That is full of lies and deceit, And will find for certain defeat. But the merciful righteous man, Will have a good and faithful plan; That with hard work that is obtained, Can see success and wealth be gained. The crown of the wise is their wealth, Will expect remarkable health; Having an outstanding long life, Able to tolerate the strife. With fear of the Lord they are strong, Having confidence to prolong; Knowing to be patient and kind, Keeping peace in heart and of mind. As a Christian you must impart, While keeping a tranquil heart; And you will always do your best, When wisdom has a heart to rest. For it is honor to a king, When your heart is able to sing, While you praise His blessed name, In worshipping and you proclaim. Copyright © 2011 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
