Praying for Grace
O Lord, please listen to my prayer,
Bend over and open your ear;
To the request I want to share,
With desire for You to hear.
So faithful and righteous are You,
Your judgment is all just and fair;
So when it is time to review,
Please judge me showing that you care.
I recall in days long ago,
Reflecting on all you have done;
From the cross how the blood did flow,
That was coming out from your Son.
I consider what your hands made,
So I stretch my hands out in prayer;
For I will never be afraid,
Because I know that You do care.
But my spirit is wearing out,
As I am looking for Your grace;
Because I never want to doubt,
That You will take me from this place.
Let me hear about Your mercy,
And directions to go today;
Of when and where that I should be,
So I am not going astray.
I need the wisdom and insight,
For helping me along the way;
As I go from darkness to light,
And be given grace as I pray.
