Away from Sins
I am allowed to do all things,
But not all will help that it brings;
For not all things can ever give,
Pleasure to God of whence I live.
Food in stomach helps to survive,
As it is keeping me alive;
But God could easily condemn,
Putting an end to both of them.
We are not for sexual sin,
Adultery pleasures within;
For it can never be ignored,
That the body is for the Lord.
The pleasure that we do partake,
Are just the means that we forsake;
And wind up just being a fool,
Since God cannot follow His rule.
So when we have become enticed,
It lacks for the body of Christ;
And you are no longer as one,
With the Father and the Son.
When you are tempted by a lure,
Then you have also locked the door;
His Spirit cannot enter in,
Because you have been blocked by sin.
When united with the Spirit,
Then you can and will inherit;
Everlasting life with the Lord,
And be living in one accord.
