For His Providence
The Lord looks down from Heaven,
And sees our busy days;
He worries what has driven,
Us each day through our maze.
All descendants of Adam,
That now live on planet earth;
God sees into each chasm,
Having merriment and mirth.
From where He sits on His throne,
God understands all we do;
And had formed our hearts alone,
As well as how each one grew.
No king achieves victory,
No soldier wins a battle;
As you look through history,
Gains are not accidental.
His eyes are on those who fear,
And on those who wait with hope;
For deep down they hold God dear,
Within their trust as they cope.
Instead when all seems so right,
They go on their merry way;
No matter if day or night,
They are too busy to pray.
Nevertheless God does care,
An act of merciful love;
For His creatures will still share,
A foresightful concern thereof.
