Confident of His Integrity
Judge me favorably O Lord,
Not letting my plea be ignored;
For I walk with integrity,
Although I have impurity.
I trust You without wavering,
But I speak to you quavering;
Because I am now in distress,
I feel my life is in a mess.
Examine me and give a test,
That I promise to do my best;
Looking into my heart and mind,
You will see I am meek and kind.
Please look deep down into my eyes,
You will see that I have no disguise;
My tongue is not forked like a snake,
And I never try to forsake.
I am looking in front of me,
It is Your mercy I can see;
I walk the truth within Your light,
And trying to do what is right.
I never sit with the liars,
Or people that are beguilers;
The same holds true for hypocrites,
Who promises to do then quits.
I wash my hands in innocence,
Your wholeness gives confidence;
Every step with You I walk,
For Your Altar is like a rock.
