Whispers in the night
Frigid air circulates, making it hard to breathe, paths once clear have begun to fade
Lies wrapped up in truth, spinning haunting tales, darkness masked by light
but the whispers still prevail
Beautiful are the promises, heard through deaf ears. Glorious the vast array of colors blind eyes can see. Visions of tomorrow as the night whispers to me.
Fear is a state of mind one that can be overcome,
Never underestimate the power of what you can become
Bitterness breeds hate and discontent
leading down roads too much time is spent
Actions speak louder than words, but
words can cut to the core.
Leaving disaster in their wake,
while the whispers of the night take
They can twist and distort what was once
beautiful, inside the all encompassing
shadows the night it whispers to me
Telling me to come back, it's where I belong
No lies, no hope, no tears
Just truth displayed openly, nothing to hide
Maybe I should follow the whispers
embrace the calling night.
Take the destined path and get lost inside
The whispers in the night
