God Keeps Score
I tell you and encourage you,
In the name of the Lord be true;
Show others what is your true worth,
Not like other people of earth.
Their minds are merely worthless things,
Items of this earth each one clings;
They do not know where they embark,
For their joy is within the dark.
And because of their attitude,
They are barred from what God approved;
So since they have no sense of shame,
They do not see what we proclaim.
But the Lord is keeping the score,
How many times we bite the lure;
Though you were taught to change your way,
You continue to go astray.
Do not give the devil a chance,
To go within as to advance;
For he will steal your heart and mind,
No longer to be humble and kind.
Do not let the Holy Spirit,
Get upset from what you merit;
He put a seal on you within,
The day you will be free from sin.
Let all of your anger and wrath,
Go and to take another path;
So be kind to one another,
Treating as sister and brother
