Obeying the Voice of God
We soon forget His works,
Taking it for granted;
But danger also lurks,
That makes you enchanted.
You give it all your trust,
With being on your own;
And then begin to lust,
Though God does not condone.
Something else takes control,
As to where you embark;
Taking over your soul,
As you go in the dark.
God gave you a request,
But you did not impart;
And did not pass His test,
With disease in your heart.
You are green with envy,
But watch if the earth shakes;
Or a broken levee,
Resulting from earthquakes.
The ground may open wide,
As you are then swallowed;
Finding yourself inside,
For the debt that you owed.
The debt is from your crime,
Not obeying the voice;
Of God time after time,
And praise was not your choice.
