Pray for Continuance
You favored your land, O Lord,
And restoring the fortunes;
Even though You were ignored,
Did our own intentions.
You removed the guilt and shame,
Pardoned us for our sin;
Then we go out and proclaim,
The greed and the lust within.
You laid aside all Your wrath,
And turned away from anger;
Leaving us stray off the path,
Letting freedom grow stronger.
Why have You just left us go?
No longer was as before;
O God please help us to grow,
Restore us our Savior.
You seem mad and turned away,
For we do not understand;
Just letting us go astray,
And not giving any demand.
The generation that lives,
No longer believes in You;
Thinking the Bible just gives,
A fairy tale point of view.
So please restore our lives,
That people may find the joy;
And that Your Spirit revives,
The blessings that You employ.
Show us Your mercy O God,
By giving us salvation;
Returning honor and laud,
For building a foundation.
