Watchful and Firm in Faith
Let church leadership be your guide,
Their authority to abide;
And humbly serving all others,
As Christian sisters or brothers.
The Lord will not let you stumble,
If you are remaining humble;
He hates those who are being rude,
Arrogance with bad attitude.
Humbleness is what God favors,
A smile will come from your Savior;
At the time He will honor you,
With you having a righteous view.
Though we do not know the hour,
Remain humbled by His power;
He will be telling you well done,
And will be considered His son.
Give your anxiety to Him,
That will keep you from feeling grim;
Stay on alert and on your toes,
God will help you against your foes.
Because the Lord really does care,
If completely willing to share;
Be firm in the faith and resist,
When the tempter prowls to persist.
Others that are throughout the land,
Maybe also on sinking sand;
The agony seems to prolong,
But God restores to make you strong.
