THE TIES THAT BIND






~~ THE TIES THAT BIND ~~







When I gave you this love of mine
It was to last you for a lifetime,
The only way that it would die
Was if my love you were to deny.


         


It came encased within my heart
For you to cherish and become a part,
This heart would beat for you alone
Unless my love you did disown.


         


My heart came with body and soul
To be your lover was my goal,
My love for you was set in stone
Unless my love you had outgrown.


         


I thought I`d come to your rescue
All this I gave so freely to you,
You had not been loved like this before
And this love I gave you couldn`t ignore.


         


This love is for a lifetime and beyond
It binds us together it`s our bond
Don`t treat it lightly hold it dear
It`s a love that is truly sincere.
