 Elsie`s Poetry

DEFLATED






^ DEFLATED ^





There`s a ball with no bounce
And a balloon with no air
They lie useless and still
But does anyone care?


  


The ball tried to bounce back
Each time it was knocked down
But it can`t get up anymore
This is its final touchdown.





The balloon lies deflated
Just lifeless on the floor,
The wind`s been knocked out of it
It can`t float high anymore.





But they`ve had their uses
Their purpose is now served,
They were used and abused
This was more than they deserved.
