Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Remembering...

Remembering your sadness
it would just burst from your eyes
though I understood nothing of the pain in your heart
my anger a weapon
that destroyed any goodness
and in the end would only tear us apart.

Remembering your sweetness
you would hold me for comfort
though I understood nothing of how I pushed you away
my strength was my weakness
that destroyed any goodness
and in the end left us nothing more to say.

Remembering your smile
and how I have missed you
makes each day just another day to get by
and when the sunset is sinking
and the stars are all shining
I sometimes still feel so very lonely inside.
