For the Faith
We give thanks unto God,
Who makes us glad not grim;
Giving honor and laud,
Always praying to Him.
Having your faith in Christ,
And the love towards the saints;
Your life has been sufficed,
Without having complaints.
All because of the hope,
Which waits up in Heaven;
Being able to cope,
Through salvation given.
You did hear in the Word,
Of the truth in the Gospel;
And now it must be heard,
Throughout by the people.
Onto you bearing fruit,
Since the day that you knew;
That His grace is the root,
As God does count on you.
Declared by your merit,
Dedication and love;
Plus love in the Spirit,
That comes from up above.
And throughout each hour,
As we trust and obey;
He delivers power,
His Kingdom does convey.
For His Son paid the price,
Forgiving our sin;
And through this sacrifice,
For to be cleansed within.
