True BeautyWives must be under subjection, Without delay or objection; With confidence of your husband, Being joyfully not saddened. There is something that I have heard, Some husbands disobey the Word; They go out drinking through the night, And love getting into a fight. It makes a wife tremble with fear, Cowardliness bringing a tear; Their lives were reverent and pure, Now they are feeling insecure. As their wives just might win these men, For Christ at some point in time then; But live not saying anything, While to the cross they will cling. Let beauty not be external, Beauty should be internal; Beholding your chaste behavior, To the words of your Savior. Looking sexy brassy and bold, Wearing jewelry made of gold; Hairstyles and clothes that would lure, Will make some men so immature. Let beauty hidden in the heart, Show the attractiveness to impart; As the inner beauty from Christ, So your husband is enticed. Copyright © 2011 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
