Comfort the People
This is a holy day,
For the Lord our God;
So please trust and obey,
As you honor and laud.
Please do not mourn or cry,
Weeping with being sad;
The Lord wants to know why,
So rejoice and be glad.
Be happy what God taught,
From readings that you hear,
The Word has what you ought,
Bring joy that God is near.
Go out and eat rich food,
While drinking sweet drink;
Giving a joyous mood,
Uplifting what you think.
Help who cannot provide,
For themselves and in need;
Teach them how to abide,
How God helps them succeed.
A holy day for the Lord,
Not a day to be sad;
Let joy not be ignored,
So rejoice and be glad.
Hear what I have declared,
Bring peace to mind and heart;
Ensuring love is shared,
And making a fresh start.
