Monster's Ball© I hide in the dark shaking in fear
knowing that the bewitching hour is near,
but it's silly to act this way
they'll see it's all dark here
and they won't stay.
Then all of a sudden a knock at the door
i ball up like a baby on the floor,
my heart is racing nearly out of my chest
but this is silly i think surely they jest.
I peek thru the window
but with common sense
don't want them to know
i see them behind my fence,
All hallows eve i really dread
but not the ghouls or the living dead,
it's the little monsters
that show no mercy
i'm on a diet and the last thing
i need to have around is candy.
But right before my very eyes
all the neighborhood dogs
behind a ghost disguise,
they'll stop at nothing you know it's true
best have candy if
you know what's good for you.
Last year i gave out apples a healthy snack
and they egged my house in a nasty attack,
so now you know why halloween
is not my favorite scene.
They wanna sink their teeth
into something rotten
sure enuff to rot them,
it's a blood bath to the end
to see who gets the best goodies my friend.
Afterall kids will be kids they want junk to eat
they don't consider fruit a worthy treat,
so i'll just stay here and hide
till all the monsters are gone outside.
