Faith Guided Lives
We are surrounded by much lust,
Many things we put our trust;
But we have to get rid of them,
Before the Lord comes to condemn.
Earthly pleasures will slow us down,
And if deep water we would drown;
Especially sin how it distracts,
Us all from the biblical facts.
We must run the race just ahead,
Never give up to what we dread;
And keep our focus on Christ,
Instead of becoming enticed.
Our faith has a source and goal,
Which is Christ within heart and soul;
He did not see the outlook grim,
Rather a joy ahead of Him.
Even though Christ suffered the loss,
He still endured death on the cross;
And ignored feeling the disgrace,
Of the blood dripping down His face.
But then His Father had given,
Him the highest place in Heaven;
The one next to the throne of God,
To whom we do honor and laud.
Think of Jesus, who had endured,
All the times He was being lured;
So let the words of God urge you,
To fend temptation each day through
