Having Confidence in God
Do not be preoccupied,
With evildoers who have lied;
Do not envy earthly things,
What might the wickedness brings.
Like plants they just wither away,
Just as people going astray;
But plants that are nurtured right,
Will bloom a beautiful sight.
Trust the Lord and do good things,
And see the blessing it brings;
Feel the tender loving care,
From faithfulness He will share.
Be happy unto the Lord,
That He is loved and adored;
And then you will acquire,
What your heart does desire.
For it is a well-known fact,
Trust the Lord and He will act;
And by following His way,
Then you will not go astray.
God will make your righteousness,
Shine brightly with blessedness;
Brighter than the noonday sun,
Through all good works that are done.
Never let it be ignored,
To surrender to the Lord;
For you will never feel grim,
Waiting patiently for Him.
