Feed Your FlocksI ask the leaders of the church, To look within your hearts and search; Being as a witness for Christ, How much have you been sacrificed? I am making as an appeal, To see if you have enough zeal; Sharing the glory as revealed, Or letting your lips remain sealed. Just be shepherds over the flock, Build their foundation on the rock; For God has entrusted it to you, Unto the Gospel remain true. Watch over them with your own eyes, Satan loves to wear a disguise; Set for sheep to wander away, With temptation to lead astray. Do not do this because you must, Rather being God who you trust; And because you do desire, Keeping the flock out of the fire. Do not do it because of greed, Rather do it to sow the seed; From desire to serve the Lord, While being in one accord. Remember you are not a king, No hen with them under your wing; Rather as a servant of God, To whom you give honor and laud. Copyright © 2011 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
