Walking the Wise PathAn accomplished desire, Will be sweet unto the soul; That wisdom will require, In trying to reach its goal. The goal is for faith and trust, But not tempted by a lure; Which just might trigger a lust, And make you to sin once more. If you walk with wise people, Then you shall be also wise; Because Christ and the Gospel, Will be insight for your eyes. By turning away darkness, And keeping within the light; God will shine His blessedness, Finding favor in His sight. Then you will too be righteous, Doing all that as you should; And being conscientious, In knowing how to do good. Disaster hunts down sinners, Like a vulture on his perch; Eating losers not winners, That turn away from the church. Sinners will have a poor health, And have no inheritance; Then will be losing their wealth, To the just in compliance. Copyright © 2011 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
